Description
In partnership with Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado, Rio Grande National Forest, and the BLM, Wildlands Network will be leading a weekend work project surveying rangeland fences in critical winter range for elk and deer in the San Luis Valley.
Using a field-based app developed by Wildlands Network, volunteers will hike up to 8 miles along fences, recording data that will help indicate the condition of the fences and whether they meet wildlife-friendly specifications in order to inform future modification and removal.
Location details coming soon.
