Mirna Manteca
Northwest Mexico Program Co-Director
As Co-Director for the Northwest Mexico Program, Mirna is responsible for leading our road ecology projects in Sonora in order to enhance connectivity through the borderland region and help build a true culture of road ecology in Mexico and beyond.
Mirna holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a focus on terrestrial resource management from the University of Sonora. She is co-chair of the Latin America and Caribbean Transport Working Group, a certified wildlife tracker, co-founder and co-director of Asociación Mujeres y Conservación, and a member of the IUCN Transboundary Conservation Specialists group. She loves butterflies and nights serenaded by coyote songs.
