Collin Acoya Sanchez
Wildlife Technician
Collin Sanchez is a Wildlife Technician in our Western Region studying solar-wildlife interactions. He graduated from New Mexico State University with a B.S. in fish wildlife and conservation ecology with a specialty in wildlife management. He last worked as a wildlife technician in Ruidoso collecting data related to arthropod abundance and Pinyon Jay foraging locations in the Lincoln National Forest. He spent the last few summers in El Paso at a wildlife refuge rehabilitating various bird species.
Collin is a Native American from Kewa Pueblo (formerly known as Santo Domingo). He’s a silversmith by trade and enjoys homebrewing and outdoor activities.
