Tracey Butcher is responsible for Wildlands’ fundraising projects, event coordination, and major gifts program. Her passion for conservation and her extensive experience working with the public through zoos and her private safari business help garner new support for Wildlands Network.

Tracey previously worked in Zimbabwe for 10 years in community-based natural resource management, and was part owner of a safari operation. She also served as Development Director at Florida’s Brevard Zoo, and as zookeeper and animal presenter at Busch Gardens. Tracey holds a B.S. degree in Zoology from University of Florida, and performed post-graduate research in Zimbabwe studying the effects of artificial water supplies on large water-dependent mammals and range condition.

Tracey is based in Cocoa, Florida, but dreams of maintaining a second home in Wyoming or Montana. Tracey is devoted to photography, painting, digging around in her garden, and spending time with her spirited Jack Russell terrier (whose name no one can pronounce).
