Red Wolf Territory in NC Would be Scaled Back – and Many People Aren’t Happy About It

North Carolina’s News and Observer included a quote from our response to the USFWS’s proposed red wolf recovery plan, which reduces the current population of wild red wolves to a small parcel of federal land in Dare County, North Carolina.

“The simple truth is that the proposed action would end the 30-year-old attempt at recovering red wolves in the wild, and result in a situation where only 10-15 token wolves were left on the ground in North Carolina,” [Wildlands Network] wrote in a response to the FWS proposal.
