Conservationists Concerned About Future of Critically Endangered American Red Wolves in NC

North Carolina TV station WECT interviewed Dr. Ron Sutherland about the recent U.S. Fish and Wildlife decision to allow the killing of critically endangered red wolves who wander off Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge—a parcel of federal land that can only support about 10-15 wolves—and onto private property.

[Dr. Ron Sutherland] said the plan from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service would drastically reduce the scope of red wolf recovery efforts in North Carolina.
