Please ask your federal representatives to introduce companion legislation for Senate Bill 264 TODAY.

Introduced in February 2019 by New Mexico Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich, SB264 limits the border wall and provides that no federal funds may be used to design or construct any levee wall, steel bollard fence, or other wall within a unit of the “national wildlife refuge system, national wilderness preservation system, or wildlife corridor.”

This is a critical step forward for protecting our nation’s wildlife, especially those, like pronghorns and jaguars, who call both Mexico and the United States home. We have a duty to these wild creatures who cannot speak up for themselves to protect their inherent right to move freely across our national borders in response to climate change and in pursuit of the basic necessities to which all life on earth is entitled.

Please ask your representatives to support this legislation by introducing companion legislation in the House of Representatives.

Note: We need some basic information, including your address, to connect you with the representatives who represent your area. Some representatives may also require you to provide a phone number before contacting them. This particular call to action is only available to residents of the United States.
